A Surprise Outdoor Oasis by the Scott Brothers and Rebel Wilson

We can tell you all the features of our products and why we think they are amazing, but when frontrunners of the home design industry, Drew and Jonathan Scott, features the products and services of the Summerset Superstore in their projects, we want to share the news. We are thrilled to have our islands, appliances, and designs involved in projects with Drew and Jonathan, both of whom have been entertaining and instructing viewers for many years.

In their newest program, Celebrity IOU, the Scott Brothers assist Rebel Wilson in surprising her hairstylist with a transformed backyard. Nicole had exhausted her financial resources to purchase her new house, leaving her with a dirt yard and no money. Drew and Jonathan were asked to assist Nicole in turning the area into a pleasant outdoor retreat. They created a beautiful and peaceful retreat with clever space utilization in a tiny footprint, masterfully executing their ideas.

The backyard was in desperate need of repair. The concrete patio had outlived its usefulness and was in dire need of repair. Any remaining vegetation had died save for weeds, and the concrete pads were aged from whatever purpose they previously served. They rebuilt the patio, added a dining area with a modern grill island, and even gave her a small pool and seating area.

For a modern take on the grill island, they asked the design team at Summerset Superstore for a custom design. The sleek gray open-air feel of the island perfectly flows with the tonal palette of textures and furnishings, while the stainless steel appliances are highlighted and complement the modern theme. They chose the Alturi 36" Built-In Grill and Summerset outdoor rated refrigerator to fill out the kitchen's utility. "With this massive grill and prep area, they won't have to worry about running out of room while feeding everyone, and the combined dining and seating areas will give everyone a place to hang out and eat."

Summerset Superstore also provided a built-in Firegear Kalea Bay Linear Outdoor Fireplace next to the pool area that brilliantly sets the mood for evening relaxation by the fire. The 6,500-pound prefabricated pool had to be lifted by a crane into position while avoiding powerlines and other buildings for a perfect fit, completing the sanctuary with a dip on sunny days.

Nicole and her spouse were looking for a more intimate experience with their guests, so we transformed this backyard into a breathtaking getaway that they are sure to adore for years to come. We're thrilled that the Scott Brothers allowed us to play a part in their new life together.
